Best foot forward
FootGolf is a combination of soccer and golf where a soccer ball is kicked along the fairway into larger-sized holes, which are sealed off when not in use. Each hole has a suggested par – just like ‘real’ golf! FootGolf is a recognised international sport played in more than 37 countries and is gaining popularity in the region.
At Horizons, FootGolf is played after 3.30pm on a selected section of the course. FootGolf is great for children, families and adults and is also quick to play – a nine-hole course can be completed in just 45 minutes.
When you next visit Port Stephens, don’t forget to book in a round of FootGolf and experience this fresh new sport courtesy of Horizons FootGolf – the home of FootGolf in Port Stephens.
Horse and camel riding
For a more conventional experience you should try horseriding for experienced and novice riders alike. The usual ride is a mixture of trail-riding through the bush, before emerging at the beach to cross the sand. A dusk ride at sunset is recommended because of the added serenity of this experience.
Nature and wildlife
The Tomaree National Park encompasses coastal bushland, sand dunes, heathland, forests, over 20 kilometres of dramatic rocky coastline and stunning, white, sandy beaches.
Whatever you do don’t miss the Tomaree Head Summit Walk with panoramic views over Port Stephens,
